On Sunday, November 14, 2021, a course of psychological and social support and first aid in in emergencies was launched at the Psychiatric Care Developmental Foundation in Taiz, , lasting for three days, targeting 17 trainees.

On the first day of the session, in which Mr. Sami Al-Silwi lectures, the trainees were introduced to the humanitarian needs in an emergency situation, how to response to these needs. 

The methods, principles and concept of psychological and social support, psychological trauma and its types, effects on society and reactions resulting from trauma were also addressed.

At the end of the training day, the levels of intervention for psychological distress in emergency situations were addressed .
