Psychosocial support and psychological first aid in emergencies " Training Course
On Monday, November 15, 2021, at the Psychiatric Care Developmental Foundation in Taiz, a course of psychological and social support and psychological first aid in case of emergency, organized by the Foundation, continued for three days, targeting 17 male and female trainees.
Where, on the second day of the course, the trainees learned about the pyramid of psychological problems and reactions, the pyramid of intervention and the pyramid of needs.. Then the first psychological aid was dealt with in terms of definition, steps, stages, influencing factors and principles of psychological first aid.
The principles regulating humanitarian work, communication and good communication during the provision of psychological first aid were also addressed, and what are the groups most in need during the provision of psychological first aid.
In conclusion, the advantages of working within one team while providing psychological aid were identified.
It is worth noting that this session is being lectured by Dr. Sami Al-Silwi, a psychologist at the the Psychiatric Care Developmental Foundation.
