On May 12, 2022 the Psychiatric Care Developmental Foundation in Taiz set up a psychological support program for women prisoners in the central prison in Taiz, where the program targeted 15 female prisoners.
At the beginning of the program, the Foundation and the services it provides were introduced, and then awareness-raising and educating female prisoners were made on how to deal with social stigma, by presenting a good image to the community by looking for work and staying away from bad company, in addition to Being patient and optimistic by trying to learn useful things, and that they have the task of advising, educating and guiding those around them in order to avoid problems that may lead them to prison.
The steps through which the individual can be more flexible and able to adapt to the stressful conditions around him were also identified.
After that, an entertainment part was held, interspersed with cultural questions and activities, through which the prisoners were energized and their morale raised. In the end, symbolic gifts were distributed to all attendees.
