Dr. Abdul Aziz Shaif Al-Haddad gives a lecture on" The Pharmacological and Psychological Treatment of Major Depression".

On the morning, May 30, 2022, in the training hall of the Psychological Support Center, Dr. Abdul Aziz Shaif Al-Haddad gave a valuable lecture to the staff on the pharmacological and psychological treatment of major depression.

The participants were introduced to the term major depression, how to diagnose it, how to differentiate it from bipolar depression, and its most important causes and biological bases.

Then he discussed on the psychotropic medications used in the treatment of depression, how they work, the doses used, their side effects, how to choose the appropriate treatment, avoiding therapeutic interactions .The session also dealt with how to deal with the side effects of treatment in emergency cases.
