The Gender-Based Violence Sub-cluster Coordinator at the United Nations Population Fund visits the Psychological Support Center in Taiz Governorate.

Today, Mrs. Marina Al-Jobani, The Gender-Based Violence Sub-cluster Coordinator at the United Nations Population Fund, visited the Psychological Support Center - Taiz.

 

She was received by the Director of the Psychiatric Developmental Care Foundation, Dr. Akram Abdel Aziz, and the Director of the Psychological Support Center, Dr. Ibrahim Qaid, who accompanied Mrs. Marina on a tour of the MHPSS center's facilities, in order to view the work progress in the center, listen to its staff and learn about the nature of the work of each department. After the tour, a presentation was presented explaining the MHPSS center's various services and activities. This presentation also included a discussion of the difficulties and challenges facing the center's workflow.

 

Mrs. Marina listened to some cases receiving psychological treatment services at the center, in which they expressed the extent to which they benefited from the services they received, and how the Psychological Support Center changed their lives for the better.

 

For their part, Dr. Akram Abdel Aziz and Dr. Ibrahim Qaid expressed their overwhelming happiness with this visit and praised on the role played by the United Nations Population Fund - by its support of the Psychological Support Center project, and the provision of psychological and social support services to Yemenis who are in dire need of such a service, wishing for this support to continue.
