On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Psychiatric Care Developmental Care Foundation in Taiz holds a training workshop on mental health and its importance.
On October 10, 2022, the Psychiatric Care Developmental Care Foundation in Taiz held a workshop targeting religious and community leaders in the community, on mental health and its importance, with the participation of 20 male and female trainees.
Where the workshop discussed mental health in terms of concept, manifestations and importance to the individual, family and society, then the mechanisms of mental health deterioration and the factors causing psychological and mental disorders were identified, and then the misconceptions about mental health, mental illness and psychiatry were corrected, and in conclusion the importance of the role of leaders was emphasized in the community in spreading a culture of mental health in the community and correcting misconceptions.
This training workshop comes from the Foundation's belief in the importance of the role of religious and community leaders in society in spreading and strengthening the culture of mental health within the activities of the Psychiatric Care Developmental Care Foundation and its efforts in raising awareness and educating the community.
