On Sunday, October 30, 2022, the “Modern Methods of Psychological Support and Psychological First Aid” Training course, implemented by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) represented by the German Agency for International Cooperation in partnership with the Psychiatric Care Developmental Foundation, was concluded.
The training course focused on providing the participants with advanced remedial skills in the treatment of mental disorders, as each disorder was explained and discussed separately at the level of diagnosis, planning and implementation, in addition to projective and objective psychological scales and their electronic and paper application, as well as the mechanism and approach of psychological first aid and support for women, children, vulnerable groups and people with special needs. The training was divided into three phases due to the large number and to ensure the absorption of the participants. Each phase lasted for seven continuous days. All training sessions targeted mental health workers.
This course comes within the Foundation's activities and efforts to rehabilitate and train mental health workers and develop their skills in providing psychological and social support.
