The Psychiatric Care Developmental Foundation rehabilitates Uqba Bin Nafi School
On August 2023 , the Psychiatric Care Developmental Foundation handed over Oqba Bin Nafi School after the rehabilitation and restoration of (14 classrooms, administration department , library, social worker room, laboratory extension, 3 bathrooms) and furnished it with 100 double study chairs, 14 teachers' chairs, 14 whiteboards and supplies, with funding from the Japanese government through the Accept International as the inauguration took place in the presence of Dr. / Akram Abdulaziz _ representative of the Psychiatric Care Developmental Foundation in Taiz Governorate, and in an official and societal presence, represented by:
-Deputy Director of the Education Office in Taiz Governorate, Dr. Arif Al-Samit.
-Director of the Education Office in the Directorate, Mr. Muhammad Abdo Hassan.
-Deputy Director of the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in Taiz Governorate, Mr. Fouad Al-Faqih.
-Director of the Guidance Department at the Education Office in Taiz Governorate, Mr. Abdul Jalil Ghaleb.
-Director of Uqba Bin Nafi School, Mr. Abdullah Murshid and his representatives.
Dr. Arif Al-Samit, Deputy Director of the Office of Education, extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who had a hand, to the contributors to this project, and to everyone who made an effort for what he saw today. He praised the programs and interventions provided by the Foundation - in support of education - and to mitigate the damage to the educational sector in the governorate. He pointed out the importance and impact of these interventions by the Foundation and others at all levels.
The school principal and the educational staff expressed their satisfaction with what the Psychiatric Care Developmental Foundation and the Japanese government provided by supporting the students, encouraging them, and putting a smile on their faces. They were thankful to all those responsible for this project, which contributes to the service of scientific learning.
The director of the foundation explained that the project will benefit approximately 700 male and female students, and pointed out that this project comes within the community empowerment for enhancement of education and protection for children under conflict situation in Taiz City- Yemen, which aims to improve the quality of education and return displaced children and affected by the conflict in the district.
