Community Empowerment for enhancement of education and protection for children under conflict situation in Taiz City, Yemen
In Salah District, Taiz City, Taiz Governorate, under prolonged conflict situation, children are incapable of pursuing their future visions and are exposed to risks of PTSD, gender-based violation, and forced conscription that can affect continuing education and learning.
Outcomes
Centered on two schools —Oqbah Bin Nafe'e and Al-Khansa'a —in Salah District, Taiz City, the community-based system is strengthened to ensure that children receive a continuous education and are protected from all forms of violence and psychological problems, and live a positive lives.

- Rehabilitation of school facilities and equipping school supplies create an appropriate environment for children’s continuous learning in schools
- Psychosocial support workshops cares children's trauma and strengthen their psychosocial resilience
- Life skill training helps children think positively about their future while finding solutions to challenges that children may face, such as violence
- Awareness-raising sessions for various local community stakeholders strengthens their collaboration on child education and protection in local communities
